VINCENZO SCHIAVO RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT OF CONFESERCENTI CAMPANIA AT THE REGIONAL ASSEMBLY IN NAPLES

Naples– The Regional Assembly of Confesercenti Campania was held yesterday at the Royal Continental Hotel in Naples, marking an important moment for strategic planning and discussion on the economic and social future of the Campania region.

The assembly unanimously re-elected Vincenzo Schiavo, National Vice President of Confesercenti, as Regional President, entrusting him with the mission of continuing the association’s efforts to support and protect businesses throughout Campania.

The event brought together a distinguished group of institutional representatives, experts, and business leaders. Discussions focused on the need to combine economic growth with the principles of legality, digital transformation, and innovation in high-quality services.

Among the keynote speakers were Nico Ronchi, National President of Confesercenti; Paolo Barelli, Undersecretary of State; and Nicola Gratteri, Chief Prosecutor of Naples, who highlighted the essential connection between a healthy economy and the fight against organized crime.

Representing the Campania Regional Government were Vincenzo Maraio, Regional Councillor for Tourism and Digitalization, and Loredana Raia, President of the Fifth Regional Commission. Both emphasized the importance of cooperation between public institutions and productive sectors in promoting sustainable regional development.

A particularly significant discussion focused on regional healthcare policies and investments. The debate involved Chief Prosecutor Nicola Gratteri, Alessandro Totaro, President of Confesercenti Salute Campania, business economist Gianni Angri, an expert in digitalization and internationalization, Regional Vice President Leonardo Di Maggio, Antonio Di Bonito, President of the Patients’ Rights Tribunal, and Gennaro Bruno, General Director of Gematica.

Participants stressed the importance of transparency regarding healthcare investments and regional policies, highlighting concerns about their impact on both patients and workers employed in accredited private healthcare facilities that provide public healthcare services.

“The assembly demonstrated the extraordinary vitality and unity of our association,” said Alessandro Totaro, President of Confesercenti Salute Campania. “We must strengthen collaboration and networking to build a territorial healthcare system capable of meeting the challenges of digital transformation. There can be no real economic development without safeguarding citizens’ health. Confesercenti Salute is ready to contribute to the creation of innovative and efficient healthcare models. The re-election of Vincenzo Schiavo provides the stability and leadership necessary to move forward with determination and confidence.”

The assembly concluded with a strong commitment to supporting businesses, encouraging innovation, and promoting a development model based on legality, technological progress, and social responsibility.
